Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to NerdyPup, including account details such as your name, email address, and timezone.

We collect dog profile information you add to the app, such as your dog's name, breed, birth date, notes, avatar images, and optional profile details like weight history or microchip number.

We collect care activity data you log through the app, including meals, walks, meds, sleep, custom events, notes, timestamps, photos, and similar routine records.

If you use shared care features, we process memberships, invite or share codes, team roles, and related collaboration activity.

If you use reminders or notifications, we may process reminder settings, device identifiers, platform information, and push notification tokens.

If you subscribe to Pro features, we receive entitlement and subscription status information from our billing and subscription providers.

If you use AI-powered features, prompts, conversation history, and related care context may be processed to generate responses.

How we use information

We use information to provide the NerdyPup service, maintain accounts, sync dog-care activity across authorized caregivers, and display timelines, summaries, reminders, and product features.

We use information to operate subscriptions, provide customer support, improve the product, investigate misuse, maintain security, and keep an audit trail for important account or data actions.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand how the product is used and to improve the service.

Service providers and processors

NerdyPup uses service providers for authentication, data storage and application infrastructure, subscriptions, mobile delivery, and AI processing.

These providers may include Clerk for authentication, Convex for application data and backend infrastructure, RevenueCat for subscription management, platform or mobile delivery providers such as Expo and app-store ecosystems, and AI model providers including Anthropic and OpenAI when AI features are used.

We share information with these providers only as needed for them to perform services on our behalf.

Retention and deletion

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

If you delete your account, NerdyPup is designed to remove your account record and related access artifacts such as memberships, share codes, device records, reminders, certain webhook records, chat sessions, and entitlements.

Current product behavior indicates some historical event and weight records may be retained in anonymized form, with attribution changed to a deleted-user marker so timeline history can remain intact for shared dog records.

Your choices

You may update certain profile details from within the app. You may also request support by using the contact information below.

You can stop using the service at any time, and you can request deletion through the product's account deletion flow if that option is available in your version of the app.

Children and veterinary advice

NerdyPup is intended for general dog-care organization and household coordination. It is not a veterinary service and does not replace professional medical or veterinary advice.

If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can review the request.
